You build the home page from elements you add and arrange on the theme customization page: select (المتجر وقنوات البيع) [Store & Channels], then (تصميم المتجر) [Store Design], then (تخصيص) [Customize] on Angel's card, and open the list of home-page elements. Each element is explained in full in Home-page elements.

Angel's elements

Angel adds 15 elements, and most of their names end in «(ملاك)». Among the most used:

  • «صور متحركة (ملاك)» (banner slider): image or video banners, with text and a button.
  • «روابط سريعة (ملاك)» (quick links): links with icons or images, such as links to your categories.
  • «منتجات (ملاك)» (products): products from a category, the latest, best sellers, discounted, or products you pick.
  • «صور مربعة (ملاك)» (square images): linked images in a slider or a grid.
  • «مميزات المتجر (ملاك)» (store features), «آراء العملاء (ملاك)» (testimonials) and «الأسئلة الشائعة (ملاك)» (FAQs).

Angel also enables 10 of Salla's default elements for you to use alongside them.

A suggested order to start with

  • Put «صور متحركة (ملاك)» (banner slider) first. You can then turn on «دمج الشريط العلوي مع صورة البانر» (merge the header with the banner) in the header group.
  • Put «روابط سريعة (ملاك)» (quick links) after it, and turn on «دمج مع العنصر السابق» (merge with the previous element) so the two show as one.
  • Then add «منتجات (ملاك)» (products) and choose «نوع المنتجات» (product type).

The shared settings

At the end of each Angel element's options is the «إعدادات عامة للعنصر» (general element settings) group, with:

  • Visibility by device: «عرض العنصر في الجوال فقط» (phone only) or «عرض العنصر في الكمبيوتر والتابلت فقط» (desktop and tablet only).
  • Visibility by language: Arabic only or English only.
  • «لون خلفية العنصر» and «صورة خلفية العنصر» (element background color and image).
  • «أنيميشن ملاك 🔥» (Angel animation) for how the element appears.
  • The tab number, if you turn on home-page tabs.

Common mistakes

  • An element disappeared from every screen: do not turn on both the phone-only and the desktop-and-tablet-only options.
  • Sample content on show: many elements come with sample text and images, such as the sample reviews. Replace them with your store's real details.
  • A finished discount countdown: «فاصل (ملاك)» (divider) and «منتج مميز (ملاك)» (featured product) have a countdown turned on with a date that has passed. Pick a future date or turn the countdown off.
  • An old price on the featured product: «منتج مميز (ملاك)» does not read the price from Salla, so update it yourself.
